Theres just over a week until Christmas and I’ve just finished all my Christmas shopping! *huge sigh of relief* How are you all getting on with your Christmas shopping?
Its been a while since I've done a wish-list post, mainly because I haven’t been in the right frame of mind to even online window shop, but Ive slowly started to get a list together. Ive started using a website called things to get me which is sort of an online wish list that makes sure you don't get duplicate presents. Ive recommended it to my friends and family as its a great way to make sure I could buy them something they really want and its made the last few bits of my Christmas shopping so much easier.
So heres my 11 things I would love to get for Christmas, Be sure to comment down below with some items you would love to receive <3
The modern renaissance palette is always my go to weekend eyeshadow palette, its actually the reason I threw out all my old eyeshadows and now reply on that one pallet. I kind of impulse brought sub culture and there are a few shades I'm not sure I will ever use but I keep that one for darker evening looks. As soon as I saw the Sultry palette I knew I needed this one for the festive period and the metallic would work so well with some of the modern renaissance shades. Its safe to say if I get this pallet I'm going to be going a bit OTT with my makeup for my Christmas evening tea!
Im still on my zero waste mission (I have an update on this coming very soon) and I’ve been looking at packaging free body moisturisers. The whole concept really confused me at first and i’m really intrigued to try one of these out. Lush even have packaging free shower gel, shampoo and even fake tan! If I get this for Christmas expect a review coming soon as I’m so confused how this is going to work and be stored.
I used to straighten my hair every day with GHD’s about 6 years ago and my oh my did it damage it. Now I probably use hot tools on my hair once a week however I really wanted to start straightening the front throughout the week and I needed to find a straightener that I could change the temperature on. I saw these in Superdrug for £70 and at first it seemed steep then I thought why not treat myself. Then I found them on amazon for £26! Moral of the story, always shop around!
I wanted to find a cruelty free alternative to my Clarins tan drops when I came across isle of paradise. I’m hoping these drops are just as effective as the Clarins ones as they are perfect to mix into your morning moisturiser to give you a subtle glow in-between fake tan applications. If these work well I may convert my whole tanning regime over to their products and finally say bye bye to St Moritz.
I am a huge fan of the Fearne Cotton books so as soon as I saw on Instagram that she was working on another one I knew this had to be on my Christmas list. This one is all about being calm and not letting your mind take over and I think its going to be a great read for January.
Okay so this is a huge splurge but I absolutely fell in love with this dress and thought it would be perfect to go with boots in the winter and sandals in the summer. Ive started to try and stop myself from shopping in Primark and cheaper highstreet stores as I buy the clothes and within a few weeks they are either worn out or I don't like them any more. Since I made that decision I’ve just brought items that I absolutely love even if they are a bit more pricey and I have got so much wear out of things and they still look as good as new.
I got tagged in this instagram advert by 3 different people so I think this was a sign that this was the diary for me. I have a sneaky suspicion that my sister may have already got me this one too! (Thanks Heidi) I cant wait to start writing up all my 2019 plans and goals in it whilst I'm in a post Christmas dinner food coma.
This is a makeup item that I have wanted for years but I've never actually gone out and brought. At the moment I have about 5 different contours and highlights in my makeup draw, half of which I don't actually like. So my plan is if I get this its bye bye to the tons of random colours and hello to one nice easy palette.
I was on the hunt for one of these necklaces whilst we were travelling and I never saw one that was perfect. Trust me to eventually find one on free people after looking for the last 9 months. Talking of which I need to do a huge jewellery clear out, I think thats a bit of a running theme in this post, a wish list of everything I want and everything I was to de clutter. It kind of feels like im defeating the object of decluttering though? eek!
Another zero waste item I want to get into the habit of using is reusable shopping bags and knot wraps. This one is so pretty and bold and I have a feeling this is going to be the start of a new addictive collection of mine.
And lastly another book, I have loved watching in the frow’s fashion videos for years now and I cant wait to read this book which is all about the new fashion rules and how things have changed over the last few years. I’m hoping to find lost of inspiration in this for the new year as I've lost my passion when it comes to fashion (cringe haha but theres no other way to say that sentence) and I've ended up avoiding doing any fashion related blog posts even though I have brought so many lovely items and outfits.
