Its official! We are all moved in! We have been living here now for just over two weeks and things are finally starting to take shape and its feeling a little more homely. Its been a really eye opener getting into a new routine and I really underestimated how hard it would be adapting from one house to another. Everything seems so disorganised and for example, getting ready for work seems to take double the amount of time as I’m attempting to find things in all sorts of boxes.
The plus side though is that Ive been loving coming home, switching my phone off and saying goodbye to the outside world for the afternoon. I’ve also loved cleaning (except for doing the dishes with no draining board). Overall its been a rollercoaster but of mostly highs and I cant wait for the next stage of moving.. DECORATING!
And a little update on Tinkerbell, she really wasn’t settling on her own in the house so we made the decision to bring along Buster who was out family dog at my mums house. They both have settled in a lot better, however they don’t sleep for longer than 3 hours at a time though the night snd we have no idea why. They seem to be getting a little better but if anyone has any tips on helping dogs settle into a new home it would be much appreciated.
So the plan for the next few weeks is to wait for the plaster to dry, get some painting done and hopefully start putting some photos and art pieces up. I can’t wait for that stage of the move when we are able to really put our own stamp on the place and it will start to feel a lot more cosy.
So what do you think of the new house? What would you do with each of the rooms? I would love to hear your ideas.
Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a great week ahead.
