We started the class by learning a few tips on being more mindful and the importance of taking time our for yourself. I have wrote a blog post which has lots of tips in on how to be more mindful and why it is so vital in the busy world we live in. I can’t stress how important this realisation has been for me over the last year and how the techniques I have learn pretty much changed my life. Mindfulness is so so important and we all need to become more aware of out feelings and not be afraid of them. Anyway, back to the painting.
I decided to go for the mountain scene, I was going to change up the colours to go in our bedroom but decided to stick to the brief and go with the grey, red and yellow. At one point I really started to embrace my inner Bob Ross with the fan brush! The class lasted just over two hours and in the end I went home with a lovely painting to take home. I felt like I was back in school again ready to put my artwork on the wall. I loved showing my family the painting when they came over the following week and I really had a sense of achievement.
I would highly recommend class by Medipainting, it was really beneficial to take the time to relax, concentrate on something other than work and really escape reality for a little bit. They even do corporate events and group sessions too, perfect as an alternative birthday activity.
