MONTHLY FAVOURITES – ORGANISATION

I cant believe its nearly the end of September and over two months since we came home from travelling. One of my resolutions when I got back from travelling was to minimise the amount of clutter I had and be more organised. This month ive been trying out all different products and I've now managed to completely organise everything. Heres a list of my favourites and how I use them.

1

The main key to organisation I find is lists, these desk list pads are great and you can find them in most stationary stores and supermarkets. I have one at my desk and then one by my bed so if I remember something as I'm falling asleep I can write it down and take my mind off it. They are also perfect for meal planning, we have one with a magnet on stuck to the fridge.

I always struggled to organise accessories such as gloves, belts and silk scarves. I now have 3 of these under my dressing table with small labels on so its super easy to find what I need. I also use these in my craft room for ribbons, lace and sewing supplies.

These clear organisers are perfect for in the fridge. I use them to keep fruit and vegetables in. I find if I keep them in the drawer at the bottom I forget to use them up so this way they are all organised on the top shelf and nothing goes to waste. I may also have one to keep chocolate and snacks in too… whoops!

I have 3 sets of these Ikea organisers as they are perfect to take apart and use in different areas of your home. I use one set to organise out Tupperware int he kitchen. I then use another set to organise my socks, underwear and slippers. Lastly I use a set to organise all my electrical items such as camera lenses and hard-drives. Just be sure to check the dimensions of your drawer before you purchase them.

Another thing that I really needed to organise was my paperwork. I shredded a lot of what I didn’t need and scanned digital copies of some files. Whatever was left I put into one of these accordion files and at the end of the month I've been going through and filing anything away thats been in my handbag or has came in the mail. This has been perfect especially when I stared my job and needed documents sending in I knew exactly where they were.

I have one of these organisers in my wardrobe which I use for jumpers. I find if I hang jumpers on coat handers they get all warped on the shoulders so I now roll them up and use one slot per jumper. I then also fold any leggings and lounge tops in the bottom too. These are perfect as jumpers and leggings can always get lost in draws and this is a perfect way to see everything.

I went a bit overboard with these hooks, I have 12 on the inside of my wardrobe door. I use them to hang up jewellery ad bag charms. This is probably one of my most favourite organisation systems as I can now pick out an item of jewellery as I'm choosing my outfit.

These small shelves are perfect for your beauty cupboard. I also use them in the kitchen for mugs and tins. Ikea have such a large selection of shelving so its work a trip there with your measurements. A tip is to also take some of the products you need to fit on the shelves with you as theres nothing worse than buying a shelf then realising nothing fits on it.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my favourite organisational items. Be sure to comment below items that you love as I would love to see them. Have a great week ahead!
