For our last night in Ubud we stayed in the Jannata Resort and Spa. Now first things first, before anything else, the views. Our villa overlooked the rice fields and it is hands down the best view I have ever had out of my bathroom window. In the evening we sat on the balcony just looking out and listening to the noises of the wildlife. They also have the perfect infinity pool again looking out to the fields. You can also book to have your evening meal on the island in the middle of the lower pool which would…

Day one and we headed out early to the art markets which are in the centre of ubud. They were more like normal markets really and not too much ‘art’ stuff but it was still good to look around. Me and Dave needed to get some sarongs so we put out haggling to the test. I say ‘we’, it was all Dave cause I hate doing it and feel really bad but we managed to get the two sarongs for a good price and then we headed over to the monkey temples. Now a lot of people online say the…

We decided to get a boat from Nusa Lambongan to Gilli Air. We took a risk and booked a fast boat with the hotel. The company had no brochures and we literally just had the hotel woman’s word that it was ‘a big boat’ The risk paid off because it was actually nicer than the first boat we had been on and had nice seats and even showing Moana on the TV. We arrived at our hotel and it had this cute canopy around the bed which I loved. The next morning we woke up and knew we wanted to…

As soon as we arrived and walked up the cobbled street with gypsy caravans I knew we were not going to be disappointed. The ‘street’ is filled with caravans and benches all with different paintings and signs on them. I loved looking inside them all to see the amazing velvet interior with chandeliers. Once we arrived at the actual bar (yes that…

We arrived at a town called Sanur which is were all the boats leave Bali to go to the smaller islands. We got to our hotel and it was so peaceful. There are only 5 rooms situated around the pool sort of like little private villas. I would say out of all the places we have stayed in Bali this was my favourite so far. I felt so relaxed here like I was at some kind of retreat, I  wish we had booked longer here. ALL ABOARD! Now I was a little nervous for our boat trip over to Nusa…
