THE BEST FOOD IN BALI

When we left Australia and headed over to Bali I was a little nervous about the food situation and was anticipating us eating street food the whole time. Once we arrived, I was so surprised at the amount of trendy and modern cafes and restaurants dotted about. Yes they looked a little out of place in most of the chaotic streets but I was pleasantly surprised and tried to visit as many as I could. Here are my 4 favourites as well as some other recommendations I have along the way. Be sure to comment below if you have ever…

THE TRUTH OF BEING A TRAVEL BLOGGER – WHAT HAVE I BECOME?!

You open up instagram on a Monday morning, you see a travel bloggers feed come up with their perfect travel lifestyle, the gorgeous dresses, amazing scenery and ultra high quality photos. You wish you could live that lifestyle and think they are so so lucky to have such a lavish and adventurous lifestyle. When I knew we were going travelling I couldn’t wait for that to be me. THE UDAYA

If your looking for the perfect ‘Instagramable’ hotel then this is the one for you. Set in the north of Ubud the Udaya is the perfect retreat to leave the busy town behind and unwind. Top influencers such as Gypsea Lust and Maddie Bruce have both recently stayed here and been photographed in the iconic flower baths. Once we arrived at the Udaya we had an amazing fresh mint ice smoothie welcome drink . Out of all the welcome drinks we have had this one takes the top spot. The grounds around the Udaya are so lush and tropical and…

JANNATA RESORT AND SPA

For our last night in Ubud we stayed in the Jannata Resort and Spa. Now first things first, before anything else, the views. Our villa overlooked the rice fields and it is hands down the best view I have ever had out of my bathroom window. In the evening we sat on the balcony just looking out and listening to the noises of the wildlife. They also have the perfect infinity pool again looking out to the fields. You can also book to have your evening meal on the island in the middle of the lower pool which would…

UBUD | TRAVEL DIARY #27

Day one and we headed out early to the art markets which are in the centre of ubud. They were more like normal markets really and not too much ‘art’ stuff but it was still good to look around. Me and Dave needed to get some sarongs so we put out haggling to the test. I say ‘we’, it was all Dave cause I hate doing it and feel really bad but we managed to get the two sarongs for a good price and then we headed over to the monkey temples. Now a lot of people online say the…
