VIENTIANE, LAOS | TRAVEL DIARY #39

After a short bus ride we arrived at the capital of Laos, Vientiane. We had a walk around the waterfront once we had unpacked and decided to watch the sunset. Before we managed to get a good seat for the sunset we walked past a huge crowd of women who were doing aerobics. HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE

Now something I never thought I would end up doing on this trip was a hot air balloon ride. Turns out Vang Vieng in Laos is apparently the cheapest place in the world to do one so we took advantage of the cheap price and went for it.  We arrived at an old airport runway to meet about 20 men in camouflage outfits and what I assumed was the hot air balloon wrapped up on the back of a truck. LUANG PRABANG, LOUS | TRAVEL DIARY #38

We arrived at our first stop in Laos and straight away me and Dave were both in love with this town. The first night when we arrived we walked around the town and the night markets and we both said how it was perfect here.  The first day we decided to see a few of the temples and museums in the town.
